I suppose when you buy a house a little remodelling is to be expected. I knew going into buying the place that I would need to deal with a sill beam/plate replacement. A few friends in the area described the project as ‘no big deal’ and encouraged me to go ahead and tackle the project. The process started with digging out the garden that was causing the rot problem in the first place. the bottom of the post has a time lapse of the last several days of demo work :) Here’s a quick recap of this last week of siding removal

I grew up on the 'Spice Island', the island of Grenada located in the West Indies in the Caribbean Sea. My childhood years on the island forever was the best childhood a kid could hope for with an excellent education. I have dreams of retiring to Grenada someday but not on the near horizon. For now I live in the San Francisco Bay area and am blessed with a wonderful job as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician with Southwest Airlines in Oakland, Ca. I have been in the Aviation business since I was 18 years old initiated in the field by The United States Navy which I joined at age 17. I also do IT work, computer networking, security cameras for home or office and have set up smart homes. I love photography, drone flying and photography with my drone. I love my dogs more than anything and overall I just enjoy learning new things.
